Moldovan deputy premier's message on State Flag Day

Chisinau, April 27 /MOLDPRES/ - The flag is not just a symbol, but a reminder of our unity and the fact that we are a sovereign and independent nation. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popsoi made the statement on State Flag Day.

According to the official, the red, yellow and blue colours represent our history and identity.

"Every time we look at the flag, we remember our path as a nation and our struggle for independence. The flag is not just a symbol, it is a reminder of our unity and that we are a sovereign and independent nation. It reflects our dreams and aspirations for a better future," he said.

State Flag Day was established by the Parliament on 23 April 2010. The Tricolour was officially designated the state flag on 27 April 1990. The State Flag is a major official symbol of the sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Moldova.
