Quiet and safe over Easter: authorities' recommendations for coming period

Chisinau, April 29 /MOLDPRES/ - In the context of the Easter holidays, citizens are urged to observe several recommendations issued by the General Inspectorate of Police (IGP), the General Inspectorate of Border Police (IGPF) and the National Agency for Public Health (ANSP), the government's communication department has reported.
IGP head Viorel Cernăuțeanu reminded drivers to observe the Road Traffic Regulation and not to drive cars while drunk and pedestrians - to cross the street only in authorized places.
Adults are urged to keep a constant eye on children and monitor the activities of minors on social networks. Citizens were warned to be cautious in crowded areas, to respect legal rules on public order and security and to keep in mind, in the context of 9 May that the bicolour ribbon is prohibited.
IGPF head Ruslan Galusca said that a significant increase in the number of border crossings is expected on 1-16 May. Thus, the Border Police has ordered a series of measures to facilitate cross-border traffic and maintain an efficient border surveillance system. Special measures will be taken at the airport, where access to the terminal will be allowed only to passengers, staff on duty upon presentation of the access permit, and aircraft crew members. Passengers are urged to arrive at the airport at least three hours before the flight.
Head of the Nutrition and Child Health Section of the National Agency for Public Health (ANSP) Maria-Victoria Racu warned citizens to have a balanced diet.
