Moldova obtained for first time right to export fresh poultry meat to EU

Chisinau, April 30 /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova has obtained for the first time the right to export fresh poultry meat to the European Union. Prime Minister Dorin Recean made the statement today.

"Just this morning we have good news for exporters. We have obtained not only processed meat, but also fresh and frozen meat can be exported to the EU. It is a sign that when institutions mobilize, they can achieve these results for our economic agents who create well-paid jobs. We will continue to create such export opportunities in the largest global market with the richest consumers," he said.

Over the past two years, the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) has promoted several audit missions on behalf of the European Commission, during which it has assessed the national veterinary control system at central and territorial level.
