Moldovagaz: Energocom's purchase price of natural gas for May - 331 euros per thousand cubic meters

Chisinau, May 2 /MOLDPRES/- Moldovagaz company announced today that the purchase price of natural gas from Energocom for May will be 331.22 euros per thousand cubic meters.

"Moldovagaz makes public the purchase price of natural gas in the recent tender on BRM East Energy platform. According to the contract conditions for the purchase of natural gas between Moldovagaz and Energocom, in May 2024, the purchase price will be 31.13 euros/MWh, equivalent to 331.22 euros per thousand cubic meters, or 6298.5 lei per thousand cubic meters (excluding VAT), based on the forecast higher calorific value of 10.64 kWh per cubic meter, and today's exchange rate," Moldovagaz said.

Energocom company announced last week that it had won the tender for gas supply for May, initiated by Moldovagaz on the electronic trading platform managed by BRM East Energy, the local branch of the Romanian Commodity Exchange. Energocom said then that about 20 million m3 of gas will be delivered in May, based on a formula set by Moldovagaz, which includes the TTF Front Month index.

So far, during the state of emergency, the Commission for Emergency Situations obliged Moldovagaz to purchase gas from Energocom, citing energy security reasons.
