National taekwondo team won seven medals at European Championships

Chisinau, May 2 /MOLDPRES/- National taekwondo team (ITF) won seven medals at the European Championships held in Koper, Slovenia.
The best result was achieved by Moldovan athletes in the senior category of the power-breaking event, where our team, composed of Igor Filimon, Filip Petrachii, Ion Ilescu, Nichita Griziuc, Adal Tentiuc and Vasile Panainte, ranked first in the team ranking.
Igor Filimon and Ion Ilescu also won the gold medal in Tull event. Filip Petrachii came second in the same event and Maria Ilescu won the gold medal in the women's competition in the veteran age category.
The national taekwondo team (ITF) ranked 11th out of 33 countries.
