Chisinau, May 8 /MOLDPRES/ - A document providing for Moldovan-Turkish cooperation in technical vocational education will be signed in the coming period. The Cabinet of Ministers today approved the start of negotiations on Protocol between the Moldovan and Turkish governments. The document will regulate the organisation and functioning of the future Moldovan-Turkish College in the city of Comrat. The educational institution is planned to start operating in 2025.
"The development of technical vocational education is a priority for the Ministry of Education and Research and a good alternative for young people who want to develop professional skills immediately after graduating from the 9th grade. In this regard, we appreciate the investment of the Turkish state, through the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency TIKA, which has built a new college building in Comrat," said Education Minister Dan Perciun.
The future college will be a public institution that will operate in accordance with Moldovan law. The language of study will be Romanian, with some subjects being studied in Turkish or English.
