Political, military consultations from Moldova, Poland held in Chisinau

Chisinau, 10 May /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs Minister Mihai Popsoi, along with Defence Minister Anatolie Nosatii have hosted a round of political and military consultations between Moldova and Poland. The Polish delegation was led by the state secretary of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Robert Kupiecki, and the state secretary of the National Defence Ministry, Paweł Zalewski, the Foreign Affairs Ministry’s press service has reported.
The participants in the consultations considered a wide spectrum of subjects on the agenda of the bilateral relations which regard the present stage and the prospects of the development of the political dialogue and cooperation in the military sector.
„In the context the Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, we highlighted the common interest of Moldova and Poland in the reestablishment of the international order based on rules and norms – the principles of the UN Charter, the observance of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states.
As for the existence of the risks to Moldova’s security, we pointed out the efforts of the national institutions in combating the hybrid threats and the misinformation. We reiterated our country’s interest in enhancing the cooperation with Poland, in order to consolidate the capacities of resilience and security,’’ Minister Popsoi said.
