Moldovan PM condemns violent attack against Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico

Chisinau, 15 May /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean has condemned the ‘’violent attack’’ against Slovakian PM Robert Fico, who today was wounded by shot following a governmental meeting held outside the capital Bratislava, in the Handlova town.
„I am deeply saddened by the piece of news on the incident in which Prime Minister Robert Fico was involved. The political violence should not have room in our society. I wish him a quick and full recovery. Our thoughts are with the Slovakian people on this difficult period,’’ Prime Minister Dorin Recean wrote.
Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico today was wounded by shot after a governmental meeting held outside the capital Bratislava, Handlova town. More shots were fired in the area of the Community Centre from Handlova, where the meeting took place. A TASR reporter confirmed that the prime minister had been shot with a bullet into the abdomen and the attack’s author was arrested. The zone was evacuated following the incident. According to the Slovakian TV channel, TA3, four shots were fired in all.
