Moldovan PM has meeting with European Commission's Vice President

Brussels, 21 May /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s European integration way, the consolidation of the capacities in the defence sector and the aligning with the European Union’s common foreign and security policy have been among the principal subjects tackled by Prime Minister Dorin Recean and European Commission’s Vice President, EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell Fontelles.
The PM appreciated the assistance provided by EU, as well as the role of the European Union’s Partnership Mission in Moldova. Dorin Recean stressed that, in one year after the launch alone, the Mission had become a reliable partner of the authorities in the field of management of crises and hybrid threats, as well as of the cyber security and combating the misinformation.
„I am happy that we can rely on the assistance of the European Commission, in order to edify the European Moldova, just as the European Union can count on our country for a stronger and peaceful region for the entire Europe,’’ Prime Minister Dorin Recean said.
The meeting of the Moldovan with the European Commission’s vice president took place in the context of the eighth meeting of the Moldova-European Union Association Council, held in Brussels.
The officials are to sign a partnership of security and defence between Moldova and the European Union. ‘’We expect the partnership to modernize and better structure our dialogue in the security and defence sector,’’ the PM said.
