Moldovan parliament speaker to refer to European integration, security in region at International Security Forum in Bucharest

Chisinau, 22 May /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu will give a speech at the Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum, due to start in Bucharest on 23 May. Igor Grosu, along with Romanian Senate President Nicolae Ciuca and Chairman of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada (parliament) Ruslan Stefanchuk will be the main speakers at a panel on the European integration of Moldova and Ukraine in the present European context.
According to the parliament’s communication and public relations department, well-known experts from more countries and officials are expected at the international conference in Bucharest. They are to discuss the emerging security threats, technological progress and the ensuring of the national and international security. The event provides a platform for discussions, analyses and exchanges of ideas on the war in Ukraine, its implications for the regional and global security, the process of Ukraine’s reconstruction, the energy security and the Trans-Atlantic relation, the quoted source said.
The eighth edition of the Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum will take place in Bucharest on 23-24 May. This is an international security conference, which brings together guests with rich professional experience from different countries, in order to discuss the risks, threats and vulnerabilities in the Black Sea and Balkans regions. The event is organized by the New Strategy Centre, with the support of the Foreign Affairs Ministry and the National Defence Ministry of Romania.
