”We urge the residents of whom the census has still not been taken to be receptive and open to participate in the census, in order to find themselves in the picture with the results,’’ BNS noted.
The population and housing census was launched on 8 April and will be held till 7 July, this year. On this time interval, about 4,000 census takers are to go from home to home, in order to collect data about the population and its characteristic features, such as the age, gender, ethnic affiliation, education level, occupation, as well as dwellings and living conditions, such as the endowment with the sewerage and water supply system, way of heating, etc.
The census is conducted once in ten years and is an activity with a national scale, which provides the full demographic picture of the country.
