Gold, silver medals for Moldova at Balkan Athletics Championships

Chisinau, May 28 /MOLDPRES/ - Athletes Zalina Marghieva and Adrian Mardare have won gold medals at the Balkan Championships held in Izmir, Turkey, on May 25-26, 2024. Two other silver medals were won by Serghei Marghiev and Dumitriana Bezede.
Zalina Marghieva won first place in the hammer throw with a result of 71.12 metres.
Adrian Mardare took the top step of the podium in the javelin throwing event with an outstanding result of 81.68 metres.
The fourth medal went to Dumitriana Bezede in the shot put with a result of 16.84m.
All four athletes are employees of the Border Police.
