Moldova, Lithuania signed two agreements on exchange and protection of classified information, technical and financial cooperation

Chisinau, 28 May /MOLDPRES/- Moldova and Lithuania signed today the Intergovernmental Agreements on exchange and mutual protection of classified information, technical and financial cooperation. The documents were signed in Vilnius by Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and his Lithuanian counterpart Gabrielius Landsbergis.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two agreements will contribute to the exchange of classified information and enhance communication between state institutions in the social and economic fields.
"During the meeting, we exchanged views on ways to boost bilateral cooperation and trade-economic exchanges, the security situation in the region in the context of the war against Ukraine, as well as cooperation in international organizations, etc. Lithuania is a close partner of our country in promoting democracy, European integration and the fight against hybrid threats - for which we are very grateful", said Popsoi.
Gabrielius Landsbergis reiterated Lithuania's support for the implementation of our country's reform agenda and for the opening of accession negotiations with the European Union.
The two officials also discussed the possibility of holding the next meeting of political consultations between foreign ministers before the end of the year.
Popsoi is on a working visit to Lithuania today at the invitation of his Lithuanian counterpart, Gabrielius Landsbergis.
