Three companies left without broadcasting licences due to dubious funding

Chisinau, May 30 /MOLDPRES/ - Council for promoting investment projects of national importance has ruled to refuse to grant prior approval for investments of importance for state security and to withdraw licences for television broadcasts and audiovisual services for three companies, the government's communication department has reported.
It is about Telesistem TV company (Primul in Moldova, Accent TV), Archidoc Group Ltd (Orizont TV) and Telestar Media Ltd (Canal 2, Canal 3). They violated the Board's request to provide the full information file by submitting information and data of only one bank account, while they hold 5 and 8 other accounts in different banks respectively. Transactions confirming their affiliation with Plahotniuc-Shor group were identified.
The council approved the investments of Satelrom-TV company (TV Drochia and Drochia FM), while additional information was requested for Statis TV (Zona M) and Real Exim (Radio.md).
The council also decided to send a final notification to 36 companies out of the 88 concerned that had not previously responded to the request to submit the information.
This was the last meeting of the council, organized by the National Investment Agency, after the secretariat of the commission was taken over by the Public Services Agency.
