Moldovan Customs Service collects over 711 million lei in last week

Chisinau, 3 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Customs Service collected over 711.4 million lei to the state budget on 27 May – 2 June this year. Since the beginning of this year, the institution has collected about 14.8 billion lei to the budget, which represents the meeting of the control figure of 111.9 per cent.
Thus, private people imported assets the value of which in customs exceeds the non-taxable limit, with payments worth over 19.16 million lei collected, which accounts for 2.7 per cent of the overall sum. The money collected from tax payers is transferred directly to the state budget and is redistributed for salaries, development of infrastructure, social projects, etc.
Also in the last week, 12,644 customs declarations were processed and the flow of transport means stood at 59,137 crossings. The most transited customs checkpoints stay Leuseni and Sculeni, with 17,704 and, respectively, 13,509 crossings.
In last May, the Customs Service has collected about 2.9 billion lei to the state budget, which represents the meeting of the control figure of 104.6 per cent.
