Moldovan citizens can get criminal record in one of 24 official languages of EU

Chisinau, 11 June /MOLDPRES/ - The criminal record can be got by Moldova’s citizens in one of those 24 official languages of the European Union, through the portal of public services https://servicii.gov.md/. The provision has been valid starting from 7 June this year.
The new functionality fills the string of digital options developed by the Electronic Governance Agency and the Interior Ministry (MAI). ‘’Thus, the beneficiaries of the service are exempted from additional expenses related to the officialized translation of the criminal record, with possibility of demanding online, apostilling and delivery of the document to any country of the world, through the MDelivery governmental service of delivery,’’ MAI said.
In 2023, the providing of the service of issuance of the criminal, contravention and detailed record was launched, with the delivery to the place requested of the result of the providing of the service ordered, including internationally. The digital services, provided both for private people and legal entities, implicitly are delivered to the personal office of the citizen or of the law-enforcement units - https://mcabinet.gov.md, providing the safety and protection of the applicant’s personal data.
At the same time, each document issued contains a QR code, which upon scanning posts the original of the criminal record processed by MAI, thus limiting attempts of forging or distorting the content of the document. Also, the authenticity of the signature put on criminal records can be verified at any time, by accessing the governmental service of electronic signature MSign - https://msign.gov.md.
The public service, Criminal/contravention/detailed record for private people and legal entities – is one of the most demanded services available in digital format, accessed by Moldova’s citizens through the Public Services Portal.
