Chisinau, 21 June /MOLDPRES/- Graduates of pedagogical faculties, who will be hired according to their specialty, will receive one-off allowance of 200,000 lei for the first five years of teaching activity. At the same time, the graduates of professional-technical study programs will receive one-off allowance of 160 thousand lei. The decision entered into force today, upon publication in the Official Journal.

In addition to the one-off allowances, young specialists employed in teaching positions will also benefit from compensation for the first five years of activity for the rental of living space, in the amount of 1,000 lei per month, and for the consumption of electricity and heating, worth 3,000 lei annually, if they work in public general education institutions in rural areas, district centers and Gagauzia.

The document also stipulates the procedures related to the process of job placement of graduates of vocational education programs. Thus, the distribution of graduates in vacant teaching positions will be carried out through a competition conducted by the MEC.

According to the data of the Ministry of Education and Research, in the academic year 2024-2025, there are 1,879 vacant teaching positions in educational institutions in the country.
