GOVERNMENT BUILDS // Works for rehabilitation of bridge in south Moldova close to finalization

Chisinau, 25 June /MOLDPRES/ - The last rehabilitation works take place on a highway bridge on the R3 road, Chisinau-Hancesti-Cimislia-Basarabeasca-border with Ukraine (Basarabeasca bridge). Infrastructure and Regional Development Minister Andrei Spinu today made statements to this effect.   

According to the official, for the moment, the safety parapet is set and the elements of the bridge are dyed, in order to ensure their anti-corrosive protection. ‘’The bridge was in a damaged state and posed danger for all those who were moving here,’’ the official said.      

The rehabilitation works started in last July and on the days to come, roadmen will put the road marking and will open the traffic again, this time in safety and comfort.  

„We will continue building and rehabilitating bridges and roads. We edify the European Moldova together,’’ Andrei Spinu stressed.

The rehabilitation of this bridge represents an important step to the sustainable development of the regional road infrastructure, thus contributing to the ensuring of a safer and more efficient mobility for all citizens.
