Moldova to receive 160 million dollars from IMF for resilience and sustainability

Chisinau, 27 June /MOLDPRES/- International Monetary Fund will provide our country with financial assistance through the Resilience and Sustainability Facility. A draft law on attracting the external state loan from the IMF was adopted by the parliament.
According to the document, Moldova will receive 129,375 million special drawing rights, equivalent to about 160 million dollars. The money will be used to finance the needs of the state budget.
The loan will be granted for a period of 20 years. To receive the money, Moldova has to implement 12 reform measures to mitigate the effects of climate change.
