PHOTO Raids take place at Cantemir heath centre: secretary of consultative commission prosecuted by National Anticorruption Centre for bribe

Chisinau, 27 June /MOLDPRES/ - Officers of the National Anticorruption Centre (CNA) and prosecutors have carried out searches at the Cantemir Health Centre within a file on influence peddling. Within this file, the actions of an employee of the institution, who would have systematically claimed money for the processing of medical certificates without the applicants physical presence, are prosecuted.    

According to CNA, the secretary of the Cantemir hospital’s consultative commission would have said that he had influence on members of the medical commission, who issue certificates to candidates to get driver’s licences, in order to prompt them to process acts needed without the people’s physical presence.   

Thus, on the period of documentation, the law-enforcers found out more episodes of claiming and reception of money, with the sums received for one medical certificate standing at up to 1,000 lei.  

Presently, the medical employee is prosecuted at large, within a criminal file opened for influence peddling.
