Chisinau, July 1 /MOLDPRES/- The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) notes that since the second half of June, fuel prices have registered a moderate increase between 2-6%. Tomorrow, the price of COR 95 petrol will reach 25 lei per liter, while diesel will cost 21.77 lei.
ANRE said that one of the factors that have influenced the price level is the increase in Brent (+10%) and Platts (+8% for petrol and +13% for diesel) as a result of the growing consumption dictated by the summer vacation period. At the same time, the increases are influenced, according to ANRE, by the depreciation of the national currency against the US dollar (+1.8%) and the adjustment, starting from 01.07.2024, of the specific trade margin in the inflation rate (+3.5%).
In April, the petrol price reached 26.40 lei/liter and 22.32 lei/liter for diesel, subsequently falling to 24.12 lei/liter for petrol and 20.35 lei/liter for diesel.
