Trilateral Moldova - Romania- Ukraine // Romanian Minister arrived in Chisinau

Chisinau, July 5 /MOLDPRES/- Romanian Foreign Minister Luminița Odobescu has arrived in Chisinau, to attend the Trilateral Moldova - Romania-Ukraine meeting. In the morning, the Romanian head met Moldovan counterpart Mihai Popșoi.

The two officials approached bilateral cooperation and harnessing joint projects: "It was a great pleasure for me to welcome Romanian Foreign Minister Luminița Odobescu to the Moldovan Foreign Ministry. During the meeting, we discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation and harnessing of joint projects in energy, infrastructure, agriculture and education", Popșoi said.

The Moldovan official thanked the Bucharest authorities for the support in the official launch of EU accession negotiations: "Romania has always been and remains a sincere supporter of Moldova on our irreversible path towards the great European family", said Popșoi.

Romania, according to Luminița Odobescu, will continue to help Moldova in carrying out the reforms necessary for integration into the European Union. "I congratulate you on this historic moment. Moldova has shown that if there is determination, it can be done. You can count on Romania's support."

Odobescu will participate in the Trilateral Meeting Republic of Moldova-Romania-Ukraine, hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The event will cover a wide range of issues, from regional cooperation in the energy and the joint development of a modern and resilient transportation infrastructure to regional partnerships in the fight against disinformation.
