REFERENDUM-2024/ Emilia Marlean, emeritus teacher of Volintiri village, Stefan Voda district: EU helps us in everything and gives us everything we need to grow, without asking for anything in return

A constitutional referendum will be held in the Republic of Moldova on 20 October 2024.

Citizens will answer the question: "Do you agree with the amendment of the Constitution to Moldova's accession to the European Union?"

The results of the plebiscite serve as a basis for amending the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova.

Moldovan citizens of all ages choose the European path of our country. Only in the European Union can Moldova develop economically, socially and culturally.

Emilia Marlean, a teacher with 53 years of work experience, an emeritus professor of public education,  artistic director of the folklore group "Străbunii" of Volintiri village, Stefan Voda district says that the path of European Moldova is not easy, but it is very necessary.

Emilia Marlean:

As we are a country at the "crossroads of winds", we must understand that the European Union is the only chance for Moldovans to have a good life, in peace, in their own home. It is, in fact, the only way to ensure Moldova's survival as a free and strong country.

Emilia Marlean: 

All my life I have worked hard and brought honor to Volintiri village. I understand European integration very well and I see the results of EU support. A lot of projects, thanks to which villages are coming to life and people see opportunities at home. The European Union helps us in everything and gives us everything we need to grow, without asking for anything in return. Just to open our eyes and understand that we can no longer go back to the past that keeps trying to pull us back.
