11 wards in several hospitals repaired with World Bank support

Chisinau, July 9 /MOLDPRES/- Eleven intensive care wards in several republican, municipal and district hospitals have been repaired with the World Bank support over the past years. The repairs have cost 187.2 million lei.
Health Minister Ala Nemerenco made the statement at a meeting with World Bank Vice President of Europe and Central Asia Antonella Bassani.
The two officials visited the Anesthesia and Intensive Care Unit of the Institute of Emergency Medicine, the capital repair of which was carried out under the Emergency COVID-19 Response Project in the Republic of Moldova, managed by the Ministry of Health, worth about 16.5 million lei.
Antonella Bassani welcomed the visible progress made over the past years and the direct benefits for citizens and reiterated openness to further support the health system in the country.
