New CSM President elected

Chisinau, July 9 /MOLDPRES/- Sergiu Caraman is the new president of the Superior Council of Magistracy. Seven members of the CSM voted for his candidacy.

Sergiu Caraman thanked his colleagues for their vote and confidence.

"Thank you for your vote of confidence, it is a vote that gives me the strength to move forward. In one year we have demonstrated that the CsM is strong and I am sure that in a short time we will be able to deliver results appreciated by all, including the judiciary," Caraman said.

Aliona Miron and Sergiu Caraman were candidates for the post of President of the CSM. Earlier two other candidates, Ion Guzun and Vasile Șchiopu, withdrew from the contest.
