Moldovan president attends opening of Orhei Emergency Medical Assistance Substation

Chisinau, July 15 /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu participated today in the inauguration of Orhei Emergency Medical Assistance Substation, the presidential press service has reported.
"Europe is already here" - this is what we heard from the doctors who attended the inauguration of Orhei Emergency Medical Assistance Substation. As of today, the 62 employees, including doctors, nurses, drivers will work in a new building, built and equipped according to European standards, and the residents of Orhei municipality and 11 villages will have better medical services", the official noted.
Maia Sandu said that the new building in Orhei cost 34 million lei and is part of a total investment of over 320 million lei for the modernization of the emergency medical care service at the national level.
"In 2021 - 2023, we managed to increase the average salary in the emergency medical care by 50%. We are grateful to all those who work in this field and we will continue our efforts to make their work easier and increase citizens' access to quality health services," the head of state also said.
