Moldova's Customs Service collects over 708 million lei in last week

Chisinau, 22 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Customs Service collected over 708 million lei to the state budget on the last week.
According to the institution, private people imported assets the value of which in customs exceeds the non-taxable limit, with payments worth about 19.3 million lei collected, which accounts for 2.7 per cent of the overall sum. The money collected from tax payers is transferred directly to the state budget and is redistributed for salaries, development of infrastructure and social projects.
Also in the last week, 11,516 customs declarations were processed and the flow of transport means stood at 82,677 crossings. The most transited customs checkpoints stay Leuseni and Sculeni, with 20,210 and, respectively, 15,095 crossings.
Since the beginning of the 2024 year, the Customs Service has collected about 19.9 billion lei to the state budget, which represents a meeting of the control figure of 108.6 per cent.
