Moldovan capital's residents to pay less for heating

Chisinau, 23 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan capital’s residents will pay less for the heating consumed. The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) today approved by 15 per cent lower tariffs for the thermal energy supplied to citizens by Termoelectrica.
Thus, the Chisinau residents will pay 1,824 lei for one Gcal (without value added tax), down by 314 lei than at present.
At the same time, ANRE approved also the price for the electric energy generated by Termoelectrica. It was established at 2 lei/kWh, by 0.48 lei less than the current one.
The decisions will enter into force on the date of their publication in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).
The last change of the tariffs for thermal energy was made in March 2024, when the prices dropped by 636 lei for one Gcal.
