Moldovan judoka fails to qualify for final of Paris Olympic Games, has chances to win bronze medal

Chisinau, 28 July /MOLDPRES/ - Judoka Denis Vieru has been defeated by Japanese Hifumi Abe in the last but one act of the Olympic Games.
Nevertheless, the Moldovan judoka has chances to win the first medal for Moldova. Vieru will wrestle with French judoka Walide Khyar for the bronze medal.
Judoka Denis Vieru (66 kg) qualified for the semifinals of the Paris Olympic Games. The Moldovan sportsman defeated Finnish judoka Luukas Saha and Serbian Stranhija Buncic.
Denis Vieru started with a victory at the Olympic Games, after he had defeated Finnish Luukas Saha.
In the quarterfinals, Denis wrestled with Serbian Stranhija Buncic. The wrestle lasted 41 seconds and Denis put his adversary on the mattress through the Ippon procedure.
