Plenum of Moldova's Competition Council to have new deputy president

Chisinau, 31 July /MOLDPRES/ - Diana Lapteacru is the new deputy president of the plenum of the Competition Council. The parliament today appointed Lapteacru for a five-year mandate, with the draft backed by 58 MPs.
Also today, the parliament ruled, with 59 votes, to appoint Ionel Sirghii to the position of member of the plenum of the Competition Council.
Following the voting procedure, Diana Lapteacru and Ionel Sirghii took the oath on acceding to office, noting that they would do their utmost to promote the policies in the competition sector.
Diana Lapteacru started working at the Competition Council in 2007, holding positions of specialist, consultant, deputy head and head of department. In December 2023, Diana Lapteacru was appointed member of the Plenum of the Competition Council.
Ionel Sirghii has degree in management and economics and has a diploma of master in international relations. Presently, Ionel Sirghii is head of the department of control of European funds at the Inspectorate for state financial control. He has earlier worked at the Finance Ministry, Courts of Accounts and other institutions of the state.
