Prime Minister on 612 winning projects in European Village Program 2024

Chisinau, Aug 7 /MOLDPRES/- Decision on the approval of the list of 612 projects selected for funding under the 2024 European Village program will be examined by the government on August 21, and the implementation of the initiatives will start thereafter. Prime Minister Dorin Recean made the statement at today's cabinet meeting. He praised the efforts of the authorities of the 612 localities that won the competition and noted "a significant increase in the quality of the submitted projects".

"First of all congratulations to the six 612 localities that won the competition for financing projects under the European Village program, an initiative of President Maia Sandu. I want to thank the mayors and appreciate that they, jointly with their teams have set up very good projects. This time, I have noticed a significant increase in the quality of the projects submitted. We are doing one more round and we will be ready for the uptake of pre-accession funds. I also appreciate the enormous work done by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development team to select these projects according to the criteria. On August 21 we will approve the projects at the cabinet meeting", said Recean.

Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Andrei Spînu said "immediately after August 21, we will sign the contracts and start implementing the projects".

The authorities announced today that 612 projects have been selected under the European Village Program 2024.
