Head of State, Prime Minister after Serghei Tarnovschi won bronze in Paris

Chisinau, Aug 9 /MOLDPRES/- Head of state Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean today sent congratulatory messages to canoeist Serghei Tarnovschi, who managed to bring Moldova another medal at the Paris Olympic Games.
Maia Sandu said that at these Olympic Games, our athletes are writing history. "Serghei Tarnovschi brings the third bronze medal for Moldova at the Olympic Games! Congratulations Serghei for your performance in the canoe event and for representing the Republic of Moldova with dignity. We are very proud! Congratulations also to the coaches and the technical team! At these Olympic Games, our athletes are writing history!, wrote Maia Sandu.
Recean congratulated the sportsman on his performance. "A new medal for Moldova in Paris! Tarnovschi brings the Olympic bronze medal in the Canoe 1000 meters! Congratulations Serghei for this fantastic race and thanks for these beautiful emotions. The evolution of our canoeist doesn't stop here. This is the fourth medal of the national Olympic team, the best performance in the history of the Republic of Moldova", wrote Recean.
Canoeist Tarnovschi won the bronze medal at today's Olympic Games in Paris, with a result of 3:44.68 in the 1000-meter singles.
This is the third bronze medal won by athletes from our country at the Paris Olympics. The Republic of Moldova has so far won two bronze medals through judoka Denis Vieru and Adil Osmanov.
Moldova is represented by 26 athletes in ten events at the Summer Olympic Games.
