Second edition of Author Wine Festival to be held on 7-8 September

Chisinau, August 14 /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan Small Wine Producers Association announces Author Wine Festival on 7-8 September 2024.
The event will be dedicated to personal brand wines. Participants will have the opportunity to discover various flavors and learn more about the wines created by small local producers.
This is the second edition of the Author Wine Festival. The first edition, held last year brought together over 30 small winemakers. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vladimir Bolea emphasized the importance of the event for life in the villages, highlighting that niche wines produced from local varieties represent a development potential for rural tourism in the Republic of Moldova.
Exports of wine produced in the Republic of Moldova increased by 18% in volume and 24% in value in 2023, compared to 2022, showing a stronger international demand and recognition of the quality of wines. Europe remains the largest market for Moldovan wines, with a value increase of 36%. According to statistics, the Republic of Moldova is among the top 20 wine-producing countries. The wine industry represents one of the key branches of our country's economy. Moldovan wines are imported by more than 70 countries from different corners of the world.
