Moldova's Customs Service collects over 682 million lei to budget in last week

Chisinau, 26 August /MOLDPRES/- The Customs Service collected over 682.7 million lei to the state budget on the last week.
At the same time, on 19-25 August 2024, private people imported assets the value of which in customs exceeds the non-taxable limit, with payments worth about 24.54 million lei collected, which accounts for 3.6 per cent of the overall sum collected for the concerned period.
Also in the last week, 10,802 customs declarations were processed and the flow of transport means stood at 98,880 crossings. The most transited customs checkpoints stay Leuseni and Sculeni, with 23,412 and, respectively, 18,895 crossings.
The money collected from tax payers will be transferred directly to the state budget and redistributed for salaries, development of infrastructure, social projects, etc.
Since the beginning of the 2024 year, the Customs Service has collected about 23.73 billion lei to the state budget, which represents a meeting of the control figure of 107.8 per cent.
