First four beneficiaries of European Village programme, 2024 edition, sign contracts on financing

Chisinau, 29 August /MOLDPRES/ - The first four beneficiaries of the European Village National Programme, the 2024 edition, have signed the contracts on financing. They regard the settlements Peresecina, central Orhei district, Cazanesti, Telenesti district, Seliste, Nisporeni district and the Vatra city of the Chisinau municipality.
„We start the implementation of the projects in the European Village, 2024 edition. The mayors of the first four communes out of the 612 ones signed the contracts on financing. It is about Peresecina, Cazanesti, Seliste and Vatra. Good luck!.’’ writes Infrastructure and Regional Development Minister Andrei Spinu.
Thus, the mayoralty of the Peresecina commune, Orhei district, will benefit from the construction of an artesian well in the settlement, endowed with a treatment station and two water towers. The project will provide over 1,050 residents, the community placement centre and seven economic agents with quality water. Over 6,000 residents of the commune with have access to drinking water, following the project’s implementation, as well as from other previous initiatives.
At the same time, the Cazanesti commune, Telenesti district, will benefit from the extension of the water supply networks for another 240 households (500 people). The kindergarten, gymnasium, the centre of family physicians, the ambulance e and emergency medicine service from the settlement, including six economic agents, will have access to the new aqueduct. Mayor Gheorghe Coscodan said that, after the project’s implementation, about 2,100 residents of the Cazanesti commune, including the Vadul Leca village, would have access to drinking water, due also to the previous project carried out through the European Village National Programme, edition I.
The Vatra town from the Chisinau municipality will benefit from a project which sees the reconstruction and of roof and setting a photovoltaic system at the kindergarten crèche from the settlement. The implementation of this project will improve the conditions for education and play for about 185 children and will provide the best conditions of work to those 46 employees, according to Vatra mayor Denis Danila.
The Seliste commune of the central Nisporeni district will implement a project on modernization and energy optimization of the mayoralty’s building. Mayor Ion Popescu said that the building’s renovation would bring improvement also to another four institutions which work in the same building with the mayoralty.
The procedure of signing of the contracts on financing will continue on the days to come. The European Village national programme, 2024 edition, includes 612 winning projects in all; most of them regard the construction of aqueduct and sewerage networks in Moldova’s settlements.
