Moldova's Customs Service collects over 855 million lei to budget in last week

Chisinau, 2 September /MOLDPRES/ -The Customs Service collected over 855.4 million lei to the state budget on the last week, which represents the meeting of the control figure at 115 per cent for the reference period.
At the same time, on this period, private people imported assets the value of which in customs exceeds the non-taxable limit, with payments worth over 26.5 million lei collected, which accounts for 3.1 per cent of the overall sum collected for the concerned period. The money collected from tax payers is transferred directly to the state budget and is redistributed for salaries, development of the infrastructure, social projects, etc.
Also in the last week, 11,631 customs declarations were processed and the flow of transport means stood at 98,592 crossings. The most transited customs checkpoints stay Leuseni and Sculeni, with 28,840 and, respectively, 18,873 crossings.
In last August, the control figure was fulfilled at 109.8 per cent, with 3,426.4 million lei collected to the state budget, against 3,120 million lei planned. Since early 2024, the Customs Service has collected 24.53 billion lei to the state budget, which represents the fulfillment of the control figure of 108.5 per cent.
