Moldova, Lithuania to sign joint action plan for justice sector

Chisinau, 4 September /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova and Lithuania will sign a joint actions plan for the justice sector. The document will be signed by Justice Minister Veronica Mihailov-Moraru during a visit to Vilnius.
The plan will boost the exchange of experience and good practices in the field of the transposition of the European Union’s acts in the justice sector, monitoring and enforcement of the rulings by the European Court of Human Rights, extradition and international legal assistance, international transfer of convicted people, combating and prevention of corruption.
On 4-5 September, Minister Veronica Mihailov-Moraru will participate in an informal conference of the Justice Ministers from the Council of Europe member states titled, Towards responsibility for international crimes committed in Ukraine.
The Moldovan justice minister will give a speech at the Session I titled, Finding balance in the criminal prosecution of international crimes and enforcement of decisions: collection of evidence, sharing and suits in absentia.
The Vilnius Conference is set to analyze ways in which the Council of Europe and its member states can consolidate the support for the justice system of Ukraine and strengthen the international legal order by ensuring the responsibility for the aggression crime.
