Drivers' licences issued in Moldova, Greece to be mutually recognized

Chisinau, 4 September /MOLDPRES/ - The driver’s licences issued in Moldova and Greece will be mutually recognized. In this respect, the cabinet today approved the Agreement between the governments of Moldova and Greece on the mutual recognition and conversion of the driver’s licences, compiled in Athens on 2 July 2024, the government’s communication department has reported.
Thus, the international movement by vehicles will be facilitated, allowing drivers to legally move in the two states. The driver’s licences will be converted without the compulsoriness to take a theoretical and/or practical exam.
Moldova has signed another five treaties on mutual recognition of driver’s licences with Turkey, Lithuania, Italy, Albania, Spain, as well as a joint declaration of intent with Germany on the transcription of the driver’s licences.
