Moldovan president says Poland gives Moldova clear example on how European integration can transform a country

Chisinau, 4 September /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has had a meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, on a visit to Chisinau. The head of state said that Poland was one of the principal economic partners of Moldova and one of the most important destinations for Moldovan products, including the wines, the presidential press service has reported.
„We discussed the consolidation of the economic relations, in order to stimulate the economy, back the producers and create new jobs,’’ President Maia Sandu said.
At the same time, the head of state noted that Poland, which had been European Union member for 20 years, gave Moldova a clear example on how the European integration can transform a country. On this period, the average salary has tripled and the life expectancy increased by several years. ‘’We, in Moldova, want the same way – to bring tangible benefits to our citizens through integration into the European Union. This visit highlights our common commitment to edify a modern, European, prosperous Moldova and connected to our partners from Europe,’’ President Maia Sandu stressed.
