Moldovan PM says over three times more money allocated in villages, cities in last years against previous period

Chisinau, 5 September /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean, at a working visit to the northern Rezina district, has considered the march of works on the restoration of the Community Centre from the Mateuti village, which will continue due to the financing provided within the European Village Programme. The investment in this project is of about four million lei, the government’s communication department has reported.
The PM appreciated the development of the settlement, where a leisure area is set, which includes a summer stage, tennis tables and a playground. Also, the cabinet invested almost half a million lei for the arrangement of a multifunctional dialogue where local residents go in for sports.
„In the last three years, we have allocated over three times more money in villages and cities than on the previous period. The European Village initiative is the biggest project on the country’s edification, which improves the living conditions for the people and provides them a better living,’’ the prime minister added.
Also, PM Dorin Recean visited the Steluta kindergarten, renovated and endowed with modern equipment with the Romanian’s government’s support.
The Mateuti village has a population of about 2,000 residents.
