Moldovan electoral body authorizes conducting of opinion poll on voters' likings on electoral period

Chisinau, 19 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC), at a today’s meeting, approved more decisions concerning the republican constitutional referendum and the elections for the office of Moldova’s president, due on 20 October 2024. CEC also authorized the conducting of an opinion poll on voters’ likings on the electoral period.      

The CEC members today registered Democracy at Home Political Party as participant in the republican constitutional referendum, with the YES option.  

At the same time, the representatives of the electoral contender, Alexandr Stoianoglo, at the Central Electoral Commission, was confirmed for the period of the presidential elections, due on 20 October 2024.  

Also, the CEC members registered the electoral symbol of the electoral contender, Vasile Tarlev, for being printed on the ballot paper at the elections for the position of Moldova’s president.    

Also today, CEC authorized the carrying out of an opinion poll on voters’ likings by the Public Association, Public Policies Institute, during 19 September – 15 October 2024. The opinion poll will be conducted on a sample of 1,100 respondents, based on the interviewing face to face with the use of computer.
