European Week of Sport to be held in Moldova on 23-30 September

Chisinau, Sep 20 /MOLDPRES/- European Week of Sport will take place in Moldova on September 23-30 under the slogan BeActive. The aim of the activities is to inspire people of all ages to do sport, thus contributing to personal well-being and creating a community united around physical activities.

The events will start with BeActive Festival, which will take place in La Izvor Park in Chisinau. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in several sports activities.

The main event of the week will take place on September 28 and 29, in Chisinau and will include BeActive Roller Marathon Start, BeActive Marathon4ALL Start, a race reserved for wheelchair athletes; BeActive Moldova Mass Start, a historic moment with simultaneous starts in five cities in Moldova; BeActive Special Olympics Swimming, a swimming competition dedicated to athletes with intellectual disabilities etc.

On October 5, a charity tennis match between Radu Albot and Marius Copil will take place during the BeActive events. Funds raised from ticket sales and donations will go towards supporting disabled athletes in Moldova.
