Vasile Tarlev launched electoral campaign for President

Chisinau, Sep 21 /MOLDPRE/- Former Moldovan Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev, the candidate nominated by the Future of Moldova party, launched today in Chisinau the electoral campaign for the Moldovan presidential election.
The candidate launched his campaign with the slogan Development, welfare, peace, and delivered speeches in both Romanian and Russian.
He announced that the program is based on ten objectives, including growing and strengthening the economy, supporting young families, improving the health and education system.
Vasile Tarlev was appointed prime minister in April 2001 and resigned in 2008. He later led several political forces and this year founded the Future of Moldova party.
The CEC announced that four candidates have been officially registered as candidates for President of the Republic of Moldova.
Elections for President of Moldova will be held on 20 October 2024, the same day as the referendum in which citizens will be asked whether they support the country's accession to the European Union.
