PM meets Moldovan Diaspora's representatives in United States

Chisinau, 28 September /MOLDPRES/ - The reforms which the government is implementing in Moldova’s education system, opportunities in the IT sector and the research and development system, creation of well-paid jobs in Moldova and the digitalization of the public services were among the subjects discussed at a meeting between Prime Minister Dorin Recean and a group of Moldova’s citizens who live in the United States on 27 September evening, the government’s communication department has reported.
The PM conveyed a message of appreciation for the success achieved by Moldovans thousands of kilometers far from home. ‘’You are the true ambassadors of Moldova and we count on your involvement in the promotion of our country and the investment opportunities which we provide,’’ the Moldovan prime minister said.
Also, PM Dorin Recean stressed the importance of consolidating the efforts in the process of Moldova’s accession to the European Union. ‘’The government builds the European Moldova with the support of all citizens. We rely on the active involvement of the Diaspora in this process, as we can bring the changes we want only together,’’ the prime minister emphasized.
More than 100,000 citizens of Moldova live in the United States.
The working visit to New York by Prime Minister Dorin Recean takes place in the context of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
