Chisinau, 29 September /MOLDPRES/ - The National Police condemn charges by candidate Irina Vlah on alleged limiting of her right to start the electoral campaign and describe it as groundless, manipulating and of disparagement. The electoral event was to take place in the Naslavcea settlement, on the Dniester’s Heart observation platform. The Border Police inform that the access to the border area is allowed only with preliminary note and specifies that all citizens are equal before the law.

In a press release placed on social networks, the Police informed that it had not intervened and had not communicated with the people at the place of the carrying out of the electoral event. ‘’We urge the electoral contender to reason her charges, at least through the publication of video sequences or photos with the policeman who is alleged ‘’to have limited the holding of the event,’’ the communique of the Police reads.

The Police ask the political actors not to use the image of the Police in an unjustified way, not to involve policemen in political actions and not disparage the institution for getting electoral dividends.

The candidate for the presidential elections accuses the Moldovan leadership of having hindered her launch in the electoral campaign. ‘’The Police do not allow access to the place of the event! Today, in the Naslavcea village, the official launch of my campaign for the presidential elections is planned. The event was to take place on the Dniester’s Heart observation platform,’’ Irina Vlah wrote on her Telegram account, noting that she would place also video messages in which she would explain all details.

The Border Police inform that the access to the border zone is allowed only based on a preliminary note. ‘’The people who do not have residence in the region must get a permit of access. It is important that all documents needed should be submitted in time, in order to avoid any inconveniences,’’ the press release by the Border Police reads.

As for the charges by candidate Irina Vlah on the restricting of the access to the area by people from the political environment, the Border Police does not comment; at the same time, it specifies that all citizens are equal before the law and all procedures are enforced equally. ‘’The observance of the legislation and of the procedures is essential for the safety and order in the border area!’’ the Border Police added.
