Octavian Ticu launches electoral campaign for Moldovan president's office

Chisinau, 29 September /MOLDPRES/ - A candidate for the Moldovan president’s office on behalf of the TOGETHER electoral bloc, Octavian Ticu, today launched his electoral campaign. The event was organized outside the parliament building.   

The candidate presented his priority actions and one of the principal goals is Moldova’s integration into the European Union.  

„The war has taught us one thing – to unite. I came to a European bloc with three pro-European parties, as we want to save the European integration way. We have four political commitments: consolidation of the pro-European and unionist forces, securing the country’s European integration way, ceasing the return of the Putinist forces in our country and the justice reform,’’ Octavian Ticu said.    

Also, the candidate’s programme regards actions in the field of security and defence, economic sector, social support for the citizens, education, Transnistrian conflict settlement. ‘’We, the representatives of the three parties, assume and are fully prepared to govern Moldova, to provide the citizens with an alternative of governance. Trust us and be sure that we will not disappoint you,’’ Octavian Ticu said.    

Octavian Ticu is 52 years old; he is historian, politician and former professional boxer.

The electoral campaign for the presidential elections and the republican constitutional referendum, due on 20 October 2024, is carried out in Moldova. Eleven candidates will compete for the office of head of state in all. The electoral campaign ends on 18 October 2024, two days before the polls.
