GOVERNMENT BUILDS: Bridge over Răut river in Pelinia reopened to traffic three months early

Chisinau, Sep 30 /MOLDPRES/- Traffic on the bridge over Raut river, located on R12 R8 -Dondușeni-Drochia-Pelinia-M5 road, km 59+960, was reopened on  27 September, three months ahead of the planned deadline.

"Built in the early 1970s, the bridge did not benefit from capital works until the reconstruction started in February 2024. The works were completed three months earlier than the set deadline, thanks to constant efforts and efficient organization," the State Road Administration (ASD) said.

The bridge near Pelinia is 55.49 m long, with three spans, two lanes of road traffic and sidewalks for pedestrians, ensuring smooth and safe traffic flow.

The project works included the total demolition and construction of a new bridge over Raut river.

"This bridge is of strategic importance, ensuring the continuity of R12 national road over Răut River, thus facilitating transportation in Dondușeni-Drochia-Pelinia direction. We continue to build!" ASD said.
