Moldova State University becomes member of major consortium of 16 universities from France and Luxembourg

Chisinau, Oct 1 /MOLDPRES/- Moldova State University becomes a member of the Consortium d'appui au Collège juridique franco-roumain d'études européennes. The consortium made up of 16 universities from France and Luxembourg will facilitate academic exchanges, research collaborations and training of students to the highest European standards, opening new horizons for legal education in the European space.


An inter-institutional agreement to this effect was signed by the rectors of Moldova State University and Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. The event took place in Bucharest on the margins of the Academic Council of the Franco-Romanian Legal College of European Studies.

Attending the event, Ambassador of France to Romania Nicolas Warnery welcomed the participants - representatives from the 16 universities of France and Luxembourg, mentioning the scope and prospects of the Francophone project.

USM rector Igor Sarov expressed gratitude to the Consortium Board for USM's accession to this prestigious academic family and assured that the State University will fully join the Francophone project.

Among the member universities of the consortium are Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Aix-Marseille Université, Université de Bordeaux, Université de Lille, Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3, Université de Montpellier Université d'Orléans, Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas UPEC (Université Paris-Est Créteil), Université Paris Nanterre, Université Paris-Saclay, Université de Poitiers, Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne, Université de Rennes, Université de Strasbourg, Université de Toulon, Université de Luxembourg.
