Moldovan PM visits gymnasium from north Moldova village

Chisinau, 1 October /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean today paid a visit to the gymnasium from the Limbenii Noi commune, northern Glodeni district, the roof of which was fully reconstructed due to the European Village Programme. The value of the investment was of over 3 million lei, the government’s communication department has reported.      

At the visit, the school’s headmaster, Claudia Satic, referred to the institution’s achievements and the improvement of the activity conditions. Among them, there is the renovation of the canteen and the modernization of the sports hall. At the same time, the informatics classroom was endowed with modern computers through the contribution of a graduate of the school.  

„The investments in education are essential for the future of our children. It is important that we make sure that all schools of the country have the infrastructure needed, in order to provide qualitative education,’’ the prime minister said.  

The works of pavement and setting of benches at the principal entrance in the gymnasium have been recently finished through the DAR 1+3 programme, where local residents who live in the Diaspora collected over 100,000 lei and a similar sum came from the settlement’s mayoralty. The Moldovan government’s contribution was of 242,000 lei out of about 485,000 lei.    

The PM discussed also with teachers who work at the institution, noting the opportunities of development and the conditions for those 130 children who study here. Also, the prime minister referred to the measures undertaken by the government to encourage the young teachers to get employed in rural settlements.    

The local resident benefit also from other projects developed within the governmental programmes. A modern square was arranged outside the Community Centre from Limbenii Noi; a single centre of providing public services was opened near the mayoralty. The settlement has recently won a new project through the European Village programme, edition 2024, which will provide the settlement with a modern street illumination system.
