Chisinau, Oct 2 /MOLDPRES/- People who have suffered from the Chernobyl disaster will be able to benefit from additional leave more easily. A decision approved today by the Cabinet of Ministers eliminates the need to submit the application in person and digitalized the related procedures, the government's communication department has reported.
According to the new amendments, the additional leave of 14 calendar days will be offered under the information provided by employers through the electronic reporting system. Thus, beneficiaries will no longer have to submit applications or other documents in person to the territorial social insurance offices, which will reduce bureaucracy.
The measure is part of efforts to digitize and modernize public services, included in the National Development Plan for 2024-2026.
According to data of the National Social Insurance House, 72 people affected by the Chernobyl disaster received the additional leave provided for by the legislation in force last year.
